Good heavens. First I send an empty one and then I just lost my real

reply (the first and more intelligent one, I'm afraid).

Sorry about that.

I just wanted to tell you that although DMPS is a great

chelator of mercury and some people have reported pulling lead as

well, we've had great results here using DMSA/ALA.

At a dose of 8 mg ALA and 10 mg of DMSA (which I thought was 12 mg,

but am math-challenged) we pulled mercury just at the yellow. We also

pulled lead, cadmium, arsenic, aluminum, antimony, and nickel. All of

these were also pulled in the fecal test, but at lower values. I

think I jumped the gun and used a BM from too early in the round.

I do know that Andy isn't keen on using EDTA for mercury poisoned

people. I have no idea why he says that as I've never checked into

it. I know he's not infallible, but I generally find it useful to at

least look into why he's saying something to try to figure out if it

my apply in our particular case. Perhaps Mandi understands this

better.

Anyway, I'm not sure my efforts here were worth the little information

I've managed to share. Just wanted you to know the possibilities of

DMSA and ALA.

Warmly,

Anita
