Guest guest
, Did the orthotist mention metal braces to you? With these you would just wear your normal size and the brace would fit in the heels of your shoes. Plastic AFOS can be hard to get shoes to fit. A lot depends on how well they are made and how tight to your foot they fit. I find it hard to get anything other than tennis shoes or hiking boots to work for me, For dressier shoes I use my metal braces and it is easier. Plus metal braces are easier to wear and much less hot in warm weather. Plastic braces can rub your skin and you may need callouses to wear them. Again that doesn't happen with the metal ones. There is a choice, hope your orthotist has explained it to you. Bob
Guest guest
I haven't had much of anything explained to me. Does New Balance make a dressier type shoe?
