Guest guest
I had an appointment with my neurologist yesterday and was totally startled when he told me I should see an OT/PT person and be evaluated for AFOs. I really do not think I have any need for them or that they would be of any benefit but he said that the side to side muscles and ligaments in my ankles are quite weak and I may end up damaging them. I do not fall often unless I am tired and then I do have kind of a foot drop and sort of catch the one foot's toes on the other's heel. I was wondering what are the reasons that other people started with AFOs and did it help with the muscles staying stronger or did it sort of let them get weaker sooner? Thanks for any information or feelings anyone has on this topic. Deb
