Guest guest
I've been mostly offline for awhile due to low back pain that kept me away from the computer--and is still a challenge. So I want to thank all those who so thoughtfully & informatively replied to my request for blood pressure info. Here's a new one. Night before last I got up about 3:00 a.m. heading for the bathroom, and suddenly found myself falling to the bathroom floor and bonking my head on the door (just a slight bonk). From that point on I found that I felt extremely weak & shaky, couldn't go back to sleep at all, felt very unnerved by the whole experience. I spent the day in the dr's office, had to be driven by my spouse as I wouldn't have attempted driving. Couldn't turn my head without feeling woozy, had to hold onto the wall to walk--this due to both mild dizziness and the weakness I mentioned. Go to a dr's office, walk out with a prescription in your hand. And he gave me 3 of them. He said it was a combination of low blood pressure (which he's calling neurally mediated hypotension--a s Hopkins study shows many cfs patients have this) and clogging in my ears & sinuses. So I got Florinef for the lbp, and meclizine for dizziness, and a guaifenisin/pseudoephedrine combo for the congestion. I knew better than to take the latter last night--I'd have been up all night. So I took it about 4 hours ago and am now climbing the walls from shakiness and will no doubt be speedy all day, hopefully not through the night. I think I've just had my last of that one--nothing with this kind of " side effect " can be healthy. The meclizine did nothing for the dizziness either. The weakness is gone, so I'm willing to buy that I have a problem with lbp. I'd read recently that dizziness could be a detox symptom, and I've been on a parasite cleanse for 2 months (still seeing the critters) and a tapeworm protocol of cysteine and ozonated olive oil for 2 weeks. It's definitely played havoc with my digestion--I've lost 12 pounds simply because I can't eat much. I thought maybe eating some really bad food would slow down the detox and eliminate the dizziness. So I had a steak. No help--it may have slowed down the detox but the dizziness remains. The dizziness seems to be coming from the back of my head in the occipital region. My chiropractor says my neck is fine, but the muscles are really tight. So I'm looking at pursuing some myofascial work and craniosacral, though driving there would be tricky. Dizziness is scary. I had to hold onto the walls to shower this a.m. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help. Peggy
