Guest guest
Cousin Gail: Your message was great. Our CMT family histories are so similar. Another of our cousins was diagnosed as CMTX, as I think your family has also been diagnosed. Mine is probably the same, although I have not been tested. Your and my mothers were sisters, but I've always looked on your dear mother as my own second mother, and have always thought of you & your sisters as my own sisters. Your sister's and my CMT symptoms showed up at different stages in our lives. Mine came early and your sister's came much later in life. In fact she had barely noticable symptoms all through high school when she was a cheerleader. I could not observe any symptoms in your mother, but my mother's were quite apparent. Also, your mother died at a relatively young age. Another of our cousins went to an observant doctor who, on examining cousin's sore toe, said, " You have CMT. " Thanks for the kind words, I think our minds are still in sync although we are separated by time & distance. Aubrey PS my pics are in the '' folder in the 'Photos' section of .
