The determination mosty likely for your disability is not made in your local town - but in a Field Office or even at a higher level. Yes, not many know CMT, but peripheral neuropathy is but one of many neurological impairments listed in the " blue book " and you have every right to apply once you stop working and receive due process. If you can no longer work due to complications of CMT, etc., then apply, and if I can help in anyway, feel free to email me directly.
