Thanks Joanne. I'll probably just be listening in for

awhile....I am not very knowledgable about fibro or

any of the other diseases out there. But I hope to

learn a whole lot from this list and hopefully figure

out what will work best for me.

Thanks for the great welcome.

Dear ,

Very Warm welcome!

I too have CMT type 1a and also had problems with my achilles tendon

and pain all over, weakness and skaking hands.

The thing is Amitriptyline is an anti-depressant drug and you can

find more info on that drug by searching on the net also.

Regarding low pottasium levels, maybe others friends here could tell

you more, I don't know .

You could help yourself eating the right food, eating foods rich

in potassium, perhaps eat more bananas everyday would be also good

idea.

I am not a nutritionist but many things you could learn by yourself

or you could see a qualified person to give you some advice. My pain got better

with malic acid and glycinate magenesium. I also take vit.C everyday and

Peruvian Maca to help me with the energy levels.

What I find the most beneficial to me is do exercises everyday.

Swimmimg or hydrotherapy has helped me a lot with all those symptoms.

All the best wishes to you

Take Care

Joana in London.
