Dear Gretchen,

Thank you for your reply I must confess to be getting concerned that I had not

seen any mails from members saying they took Amitriptyline.

I am concerned at the dosage I am currently on & so is my doctor. He has

referred me back to the consultant I last saw 3 years ago.

My wife & I are concerned about the Amitriptyline & whether it is the best

option for me but also about the maximum safe doseage I can take. Especially as

I have only been taking it for 3 years.

I have become more optomistic about the future after reading the postings on

. If only because there seem to be so many people much worse off than

myself. Helps to get things in perspective on my bad days.
