balance at night

By evening my sence of balance is way off. When night comes, my balance does

not seem to be there. It was explained to me that is normal with CMT at this

stage. When I walk, I look at the ground and see where my feet are, at night I

can't see the surface. That's when the cane comes in real handy. Without it at

night, I'd be dead in the water.

Without my cane at night I would be on the floor flopping around like a fish out

of water. I sometimes get brave and get up with out my cane in the middle of the

night. When I fall I usually pull a blanket over me until my hubby wakes up in

the morning to help me up. Hey one of us should get a good nights' sleep.LOL

Yes, I have the same problem in the dark and I seem to walk as though I'm drunk.

My dad got stopped some years ago by a police officer but was ok when my dad

explained that he was disabled and that he had a

problem walking in the dark.

I know at night my balance is much worse as well. I feel helpless out there in

the dark.
