Guest guest
Hi Joyce, Just to let you know certain car companies have a program that will reimburse you up to $1000.00 if you happen to purchase one of their vehicles and have hand controls installed in it . One of them that I used is Toyota. " Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. will provide a reimbursement of up to $1,000 to each eligible, original retail customer, for the exact cost they paid to purchase and install qualifying adaptive driving or passenger equipment for transporting persons with physical disabilities.* This offer applies to all purchased or leased new 2001 and later Toyota vehicles. Leased vehicles require advance written lessor approval of adaptive equipment installations " You can get additional information on it at their website http://www.toyota.com/mobility/. There are other car companies that provide this as well. You would just have to do research on their website. Any other questions, let me know. -
Guest guest
Cheryl, When I purchased my Saturn, I found out that all the major car companies will reimburse up to $l,000 for any mobility equipment installed in your vehicle. The requirements were that they be purchased and installed within 1 year. All buyers have to do is call the manufacturer, Ford, GM etc. public relations department and request a Reimbursement Mobility Form and fill it out, the installer fills out his section, (only a couple of lines) and send a copy of your prescription for the devise. So if anyone out there needs something, check into this. Hope this will help someone. Elaine
