Guest guest
Hi Barb, same here, I had to get mine last year after a nasty fall. I use mine the same way, just the brakes! As far as safety goes, they say it is safer because the hand has a faster reaction than the foot.
Guest guest
-I had to get the hand controls after I drove my daughter's Camaro into the front of our house!!! That was VERY embarrassing but no one got hurt except my house. Barb
Guest guest
Barb, I just did the same thing, the front of my home in June, my foot slipped off of the brake, talk about being embarrassed. The cost to repair my car was over ten thousand and the house was fine thank goodness. Hurrah for insurance, right? Joyce
Guest guest
Oh Joyce....did you get hurt? The damage to my daughter's car and my house wasn't as much as your damage. And between car and house insurance all was fixed better than it was previously. Yes, it was extremely embarrassing,.Again, hand controls really are great! Guest guest
Hi -If you'd like email me _directly.jcaston598@..._ (mailto:directly.jcaston598@...) . No, the hand controls were a snap to learn. My sisterinlaw went with me and she drove my car till we were in my neighborhood cuz I was so nervous. Then I got behind the wheel and bingo.........kept driving around; it was so much fun and I was very sure of myself not missing the brake pedal. Guest guest
I agree with Barb, . I had the same concerns as you, but it was very easy and much safer for everyone!
Guest guest
Barb, My pride was hurt the most, bruises from the airbags but insurance fixed my car...I will look into airbags on line. Hope they can put it into my existing vehicle, would not want to buy a car now. Thanks for sharing again... Joyce
