Hi Barb, same here, I had to get mine last year after a nasty fall. I

use mine the same way, just the brakes! As far as safety goes, they

say it is safer because the hand has a faster reaction than the foot.

Barb,

I just did the same thing, the front of my home in June, my foot

slipped off of the brake, talk about being embarrassed. The cost to repair my

car was over ten thousand and the house was fine thank goodness. Hurrah for

insurance, right?

Oh Joyce....did you get hurt? The damage to my daughter's car and my house

wasn't as much as your damage. And between car and house insurance all was

fixed better than it was previously. Yes, it was extremely embarrassing,.Again,

hand controls really are great!

and a little some thing about the hand brakes, I hope you understand this

message, I do not spell to good either. The only thing I could do good was

drive, but not anymore.

Hi -If you'd like email me _directly.jcaston598@..._

(mailto:directly.jcaston598@...) . No, the hand controls were a snap to

learn.My

sisterinlaw went with me and she drove my car till we were in my neighborhood

cuz I

was so nervous. Then I got behind the wheel and bingo.........kept driving

around; it was so much fun and I was very sure of myself not missing the brake

pedal.

Barb,

My pride was hurt the most, bruises from the airbags but insurance fixed my

car...I will look into airbags on line. Hope they can put it into my existing

vehicle, would not want to buy a car now. Thanks for sharing again...
