Guest guest
Hi. My son has been diagnosed with CMT-X. I was appalled at the way the news was delivered... just a " well you know you have this, right? " ... and sent us on our way... come back in a year...they didn't even give him a copy of the CMT pamphlet that we saw stuck in a corner on the way out. At any rate, you can imagine that he is pretty fed up with doctors. But I did convince him to let me try to find a doctor who will treat the " whole him " ... He has CMT leg and arm symptoms, tremors, headaches and is obese. He needs some guidance to get all this together... At 19, way too much to be facing... at any age, too much to face alone. So... has anyone had any luck finding a good general doctor?... We have a great family doctor who has been helping some... but I think he needs someone who has much more knowledge of traditional AND alternative/complementary approaches. You all are a terrific group of people... and together, a wealth of knowledge. Thanks in advance, Barbara
