hi everyone!

i didnt get to report on my workout yesterday. i started off with

a warmup on the elliptical. tried to do one of its pre-programmed

workouts, but it was too hard. oh well... my dh said that

particular program was too hard for him too, so i dont feel so bad.

i will try a different program on it today. it made for a really

good warmup though, and that was what i was after.

so, after that i got out 'pilates on the ball' with lizbeth garcia.

i had rented this dvd before and liked it so much that i bought

it. the ball really made the various pilates exercises tougher for

me and i thought that was great! and lizbeth is a pretty good

instructor, i like her. it is just lizbeth with her ball... there

are no backgrounders. this workout is billed 'for beginners' but i

really dont think that it is. i think that beginners to pilates

should start with the basic mat work before adding the stability

ball into it, but for others it is a good way to get pilates work

and stability ball work done in the same session. the workout is

around 30 mins long, but there is also a bonus blast (about 10 mins)

which i also did. there was an exercise that involved rolling back

with the feet over the head and i had to modify that one so that i

didnt hurt my lower back, which is also quite sensitive. i did a

few of reps of that exercise, but at my own pace, taking my time to

be careful. im feeling my abs this morning and that is a good thing!

:*carolyn.
