I don't see a good reason for this test unless its last resort. Now that they have blood tests. I hear with type 2 it is not as painful. Guest guest Posted August 23, 2005 Report Share Posted August 23, 2005 I'm pretty sure I have type 2. I had a major EMG test when I was 18 and full of muscle. Guest guest Posted August 24, 2005 Report Share Posted August 24, 2005 Well, , just adding my 2 cents here, but my EMG told me I have CMT 2, and let me tell you, all 2 and 1/2 times I felt it all! (Although the more recent test was done in a more compassionate setting, with a more compassionate doc, and I did take a muscle relaxant before hand!)
