then I did Yoga for Longevity with Rod Stryker,

Morning everyone,

I feel great! Today I did Kathy 's step aerobics- the beginner

section only (4 " step) but made my moves bigger, then the Firm BSS 2

abs, started doing the harder moves, then I did Yoga for Longevity

with Rod Stryker, the first 30 minute portion. While this isn't my

favourite yoga tape, I did feel pretty good when it was done. He goes

into a pose, then comes out, then back in and out then back into the

pose and hold it for a while. I guess it's just different than any

other yoga tape I've done before. I must breathe more deeply than he

does, because at the end resting in corpse pose he had us count down

from 12 with each exhalation, he was at zero and I was still at 5. I

like to think of that as a good thing. : )

Knee is good! Yippee!

This is an old video, I got it in Zellers probably last year for about $5.00. This is only the second time I've done it. I didn't like it at first, but liked it better this time around. Maybe I'm gaining a better appreciation for yoga. He gives great detailed instructions, I know I'm going to feel my inner thighs tomorrow, he says to pull them to the back to straighten your legs in some poses, and other tips I haven't heard before. There is another exerciser with him who does modified poses which is nice.

I don't know the workout he was in with Kathy , but then I haven't been keeping up with all her workouts.

you too huh? My DH works midnights, thank God. When he is home on the weekends he snores SO loud. I've went and slept in the recliner many of times. I have trouble sleeping even when he's not sleeping with me so his snoring makes it even harder for me. I wear ear plugs, but I end up fiddling with them most of the night trying to keep them in my ears. I feel for you.

I really enjoyed the kickboxing section with Spreen today. Oh, I did all the uneven pushups (on my knees) 32 I think it was

I really like Spreen. I have one workout of hers and would like to get more.

Great job on the pushups. 32 sure is impressive even being on the knees.

I know all about the snoring. Hope you have a good restful sleep on the couch tonight so you can kick this cold.

Take care,

Sounds like you had a great workout Kerry, good for you!

I'm resting, now I feel like I'm getting a cold thanks to not enough sleep lately (DH has been snoring and waking me up so I'm sleeping on the couch tonight!). I still plan to jump back into it tomorrow.

Do you have any of her kickboxing workouts? I've read some conflicting reviews on them. I really enjoy her teaching style and her encouragement in Fast Cheetah.

The uneven pushups were done with other exercises inbetween and I believe it was 4 sets of 4 going into a child's pose after each set. Heidi Tanner led this section and she had us lift one leg, the same leg as the hand that was on the yoga block. I liked how she had us hold the position, sometimes down and sometimes up before continuing. I'm pretty sure I'm going to feel my pecs tomorrow.
