Guest guest
My daughter (the 3 year old) has wavy hair too and it is a pain, it always seems to be dry and it ends up frizzed instead of wavy. She’s a bit of a tom boy anyway, but I want her to look pretty. Is there a way to avoid the friz look? I myself have baby fine long straight hair. It tangles and requires special upkeep to get the pretty hair look. Right now I have dirty blond roots and blond ends because I don’t want to color it again but I may use some temp color so I don’t look so stupid. I hate the bother of coloring but do it because my bf likes blond hair, I prefer it darker I think. I’m going to wait for the color to get all mine and see if I like it lol. I think my natural color is that awful dirty blond that always looks like the hair is dirty. But if I don’t have to worry about coloring it I may just let it stay lol From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Darcy Ledman Sent: Saturday, November 11, 2006 1:31 AM Subject: Re: Donna / Cardio - Cathe Low Impact Circuit Cardio Premix I am the same Donna, I shower, wait for it to air dry a bit, put mousse in it and blow dry..ta-da! LOL.... I have layers in it, which were added 4 years ago, but I keep getting it cut the same and same... Mine is naturally " wavy " , but not too curly. Guest guest
Hi , Curly and wavy hair does tend to be drier - the best thing to do is not to use shampoo regularly - if she washes her hair every day just have her wet it and then put conditioner only through it - not shampoo - also try to avoid blow drying or any other type of heat styling. I'm not sure what products you have access to but I like the Frizz Ease products as well as the Strictly Curls products - both are great for me! Guest guest
hmm.. mine doesn't ever look frizzy. Have you ever tried putting a touch of mousse in it? I bet that would help. Put it in her hair when it's damp, not soaking wet, wait a bit and then blow-dry it. I don't know how much time you want to spend on your daughter's hair, but you could try that for special occasions, maybe. Guest guest
LOL, I guess that goes to say I don't know what I'm talking about!! ha..ha.. Just going by my own. It's not frizzy at all, and I do blow-dry it, but I have to use mousse, or else it would be frizzy.Darcy On 11/11/06, Donna M-P <donna112520@...> wrote: Hi , Curly and wavy hair does tend to be drier - the best thing to do is not to use shampoo regularly - if she washes her hair every day just have her wet it and then put conditioner only through it - not shampoo - also try to avoid blow drying or any other type of heat styling. Guest guest
We do wash her hair everyday but because she is a tomboy (well half of her the other half is a ballet dancing princess) and ends up with leaves, food and mud in her hair. I have been blow drying so maybe I should avoid that. But I don’t like her to go to bed with wet hair. I think sleeping on it is what makes it frizzy – poor girl should get her shower in the morning. Anyway thanks for the tips. Hopefully she will be able to look cute if I try them. Guest guest
I have wavy/curly hair but I don't blow dry it because that will make it frizzy and I think it dries my hair out too much so I just let it air dry. I don't but mousse or any kind of conditioner in it my hair is " wash and wear " and is very easy to take care of except when it starts growing longer. I keep my hair pretty short because I think it looks better that way and like I said is easier to take care of. This week I told a girl at work I was going to get my hair cut because it was starting to get too long and that I couldn't control it any more (going all over the place.) She told me that it looks good like that and curly hair is sort of meant to be " out of control " and that it would look good shoulder length. I went and got it cut though because if I let my hair grow longer some of the curl will be pulled out of it and it will only curl at the bottom. My hair is more of a wave with a few curls thrown in LOL. I don't know if you can tell from any pics I posted but it is curly but not cork-screw curly, if you know what I mean. When my hair starts to grow out and get's frizzy or " out of control " I just use plain water to wet it down and then it behaves itself. It doesn't get frizzy in the rain or humidity but it does get more curly so that's great for me. Be PROUD of your curly/wavy hair most people would kill for it especially my Mom...LOL poor Mom has had straight hair her whole life and has to spend tons of money on perms. I also thought about just having her do big sections of blonde and just a little brown to balance it all out a bit. I hate dealing with hair. ~~
