Guest guest
This morning I woke up at 4:00 just ready to work out! I fried my quads doing stairs this week and my foot hurts so I decided to be gentle with my lower body today. I had never done I Want Those Arms! before. What a treat! There are two 15 minute programs and I did them both. Tamilee is lovely and leads you through a weight training circuit using mostly dumbells 3 times. She concentrates on the shoulders, biceps and triceps. The first circuit was, if I remember correctly bicep curls, lateral raises, tricep kickbacks bicep curls again alternating, overhead presses, and tricep extensions. The part I liked about this move that I hadn't done before was a sort of "clam shell" move where you hold the tricep extension and isolate the muscle, opening and closing the elbows out, then in. Oooeee that burns! The second circuit was more advanced. Tamilee sits in a chair but I opted for a stabilty ball just because I'm lazy and it was easier to roll the ball to the center of the room that pick up a clunky chair from the kitchen. Bicep curls are done this time with the arms out to the side so that you look like a W midpoint on the way up if that makes sense. Next is a reverse curl with an overhead press. I really felt these, but then again I have wimpy shoulders. I used 8 lbs for this which is a lot for me! Next were tricep dips on the end of the chair. I have a sensitive elbow so I did the tricep extensions again from the previous circuit. Next were concentration curls for biceps, reverse flyes (ow!) and single arm tricep dips lying on the floor in a side plank type position. All in all, this was a fun, fast moving 30 minute workout. I really needed to work my upper body and I feel great! Sponsored Link$420,000 Mortgage for $1,399/month - Think You Pay Too Much For Your Mortgage? Find Out! Guest guest
Thanks , I hope you are right. Although technically I would want only about 1 more full-time client, or maybe 2 more part-timers.. It's a lot of running around with the boys and a lot of schedule tweaking... Guest guest
great laura!!! i love this workout too(thanks to kathy for my copy). that clam shell for the triceps gets me every single time too. i just wish she would do more chest and back in her workouts, b/c i think she can totaly fry the entire upper body. way to go with the stability ball. i never though of trying it that way. geesh, of the modifcations i can think up, i can't think of this one LOL. but i bet you got a mini core workout b/c of it. have you done the i want those abs!!?? OOOOUUUUCCCCHHHH. pretty challenging stuff. she does it they same way, a circuit of exercises about 2-3 times through and even adds some pulses in there just in case. kassia Sponsored Link$420,000 Mortgage for $1,399/month - Think You Pay Too Much For Your Mortgage? Guest guest
Great arm workout ! Those clam shell moves sound like they would burn! I don't like those triceps dips either.
