Hi Gretchen,

I haven't written anything for quite a while but I read your posts daily.

Thanks for your ongoing wealth of information and inspiration! Concerning this

message of antidepressants for nerve pain, this is interesting to me as my

neurologist has just prescribed Ativan. I have difficulty sleeping due to nerve

pain and also because I suffer from sleep apnea.

I am not comfortable taking medication but I have gotten to a point of

desperation with lack of sleep lately. I am concerned by Ativan's side effects

that I have read on the Internet. Primarily that it is addictive and can

actually result in depression. Do you have any further information on this drug

or have you known anyone with CMT that has taken it? Apparently it is also

called lorazapam. Any information you have would be appreciated.

Warmest Regards,

Please visit our current poll and give us your feedback on using Vitamins and

Supplements for CMT.
