Guest guest
There's no reason you can't do the BFL workouts at home with barbells and dumbbells. I'd use tall step-ups and squat variations in place of the leg press machine, assorted barbell and dumbbell bent-over rows for lat pull-downs, all variations of chest presses and flys for the fly machine. You'll probably get better results with the free weights anyway. If you need more ideas, remember the exercise and muscle directory: http://exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html And also check out this page of exercise demonstrations. http://sparkpeople.com/myspark/ex/all_exercises.asp Click on the Upper Body, Lower Body and Core Exercises tabs to see all kinds of home exercise options. If you really want to do something other than the BFL weight workouts, here's a page of templates for various training splits: http://exrx.net/Lists/WorkoutMenu.html Or, Krista's Kompleat Kompendium of Workout Routines: http://www.stumptuous.com/cms/displaysection.php?sid=26 Personally, I'd stick with BFL though. :-) On 11/5/05, ysnyman <no_reply > wrote: > Hi All > > I was wondering if any of you know of a website where I can get good > ideas for a killer weights workout that I can do at home? LOL!! that is so true !! the elliptical and weight machine are meant to be for my husband. he does not like doing my exercise videos! can you imagine?!? LOL. but he really needs to workout... his working season is done for the winter and last year he sat around and played the xbox for months (!!) while off. so of course he gained the beer gut and lost some muscle. his wakeup call was that when he went back to work this spring, his blood pressure was really high and he was very stressed out and had to start taking heart medication. this prompted him to finally listen to me about eating better and exercising. i cant get him to lay off of the beer though...LOL. :*carolyn.
