Hello to all,

Yesterday when I saw my orthotist for a checkup, it occurred to me

that I do not have any of his papers/files (copies) in my possession.

Like my files from docs, I have my own set from them. So, I asked for

copies of my papers from Stefan. Since I was the one wanting copies,

I didn't need to sign a release form lol. I told , Stefan's

Administrative Assistant to just send them to me. Then while I was in

the exam room reading magazines, and waiting for my orthotics to be

tuned up, in walks , with a complete file of the treatment

papers I wanted. I was so amazed - it usually takes me 2 weeks or

longer just to light a fire under a doctor's butt to get what I want.

So, seeing this brand new folder (for me) with xeroxs of all my

treatments, dates, etc., was truly priceless and I thanked her

immensly. This afternoon I was reading over my file. There is not one

typo, not one error, nothing out of place. Again, amazing, after some

of the corrections I have had to make to my medical files.

In my file is even a copy of my original orthotic prescriptions from

my Internist and Orthopedist - these dated to 1996, so this was sort

of news to me because I thought I was going to Swiss Balance since

about 1991. I have just been going 9 years - and Stefan has succeeded

in keeping me on my feet comfortably all that time (with just about

only one year check ups)

I'm really glad I had the foresight to request a copy of my files and

have them now.
