the CMT person's progression cannot be predicted

I wanted to tell you something. NO ONE, absolutely NO ONE on this planet can

" predict " how one's CMT will progress or won't. People will try, but this is not

right. I was diagnosed with CMT when I was 10, showed symptoms at age 7. I am 53

now. My CMT has had minimal, if any progression, and really it seems like CMT

was much worse for me in Junior High and High School. All I need now, is good

quality custom made orthotics inside my shoes, and good quality shoes like those

made by New Balance. We are all genetically different - different parents,

different mutations, different degrees of the disorder/syndrome. We all wonder

about the future. As do most NON-CMT people too. Worrying makes me stressed, and

that doesn't feel good, so I take each day as it comes and pack it full!

Oh, one other thing, when I was 27, a doc told me I'd be limited to wheelchair

use by the time I was 30. THAT has NOT happened :)

Like I said, NO ONE, absolutely NO ONE, can " predict " the course of another's

CMT.
