Hi ,

I too am a mother of young child who was diagnosed with CMT. My son

is 3 years old his father also has CMT. Were not definite on what

type my son has although the tests are consistent with severe CMT-1

and possible DS. We were reffered to a neurologist where hopefully

we will get our ? answered I'm very confused and worried about the

severity of this type. Do you know what type of CMT your son has?

Hi Tonya,

We are not sure what type my son has and there is no history of CMT in our

families. His NCV were 13 which is low, and his EMG revealed a demylinating

form. I do know DS has extreemly low NCV. He has gene tested negative thus far.

What are your son's presenting symptoms?
