Guest guest
Hi Deborah, Please pass this along to your son. I was very hesitant to join a group, especially as my doctors have told me that I have very asymptomatic CMT (I have no problems walking, although I do have high arched feet and am starting to lose feeling in my tops of my toes) - especially when talking about classic CMT. I joined as I thought it would be a good way to learn from other people, and to understand more about the neurological condition I have been diagnosed with. I find the group hugely beneficial - sure, sometimes the questions and messages kind of scare me as I do not have the symptoms some speak about, but I have learned that I do share some similarity with many people, that things I have always had and thought were nuisance issues (like bad knees) could indeed be a common symptom. The medical literature that Gretchen posts is inspiring, and as well there are great tips that people share (I certainly had not thought of vitamin C as more than a cold stopper before joining the group). Please pass along my message and email to your son. It is so important to have a place to go to ask questions, especially of people who have experience and have tried many different things at different stages of their life. Kind regards, Donna from London
