I think that recumbant bikes have more support than

other bikes.

thats true. at least there is a back rest on there. it just

looked like the angle she was sitting in would stress the lower back

a bit. but that is just me... im always on the eye out for anything

hurting my old back.

Actually, a recumbant bike is better for the low back then a traditional bike. I put all my clients with back issues on the recumbant bike over other cardio equipment so that they avoid the impact that can compress the joints and the strain on their back that other pieces can cause.
