Guest guest
Joana, I have never traveled to Europe, but it sounds like it is easier for you to get around there than it is here where I live. I would never go anywhere if I did not have a car. I am so dependent on it, but now with price of gas, it is getting harder. I went to NIH today and they are doing 3 seperate genetic tests on me to see if we can determine what I have. They are still leaning towards CMT, but one of the axonal autosomal recessive ones. Now that I understand the difference, I can start to learn and advocate more for myself. The good news is they are giving me a referral for someone who will evaluate my walk and help me with picking out the proper bracing for my self. As far as improving posture, I know what you mean. When I see a reflection of myself when walking I see that i walk hunched over. I think I do that to try to push my body forward and sometime I concentrate on keeping my shoulders up and trying to walk as normal as possible. It takes a lot of concentrating! Keep on swimming and it sounds like you are getting around just fine! Jackie
