Guest guest
My 8 year old daughter is scheduled to have muscle and nerve biopsies as well as a lumbar puncture to determine if she has CMT. She had a EMG conducted back in April and the readings came in very low. She had a DNA blood screening performed and this came back negative for demyelinating CMT. However her neurologist still belives that she has one of the other forms of CMT. She currently has an unsteady gait to her walk, has difficulty running, lack of coordination and no knee reflexes. My wife and I are obviously very worried and concerned about what the final results will turn out to be. If it is CMT I have very worried because the disease came about at such an early age for her. I have no idea how this disease is expected to progress during the course of her life. Mike
