Guest guest
Hi Sally, First, thanks so much for your truly kind comments. I am deeply appreciative. As for stairs: As a kid with CMT, and living in a 2 story house, I was up and down 'em hundreds of times a day... and so were my Barbies - lol. Our stairs also had a bannister, so guess who took delight in sliding down? Yes, me, the Barbies and everything else! LOL Stairs were not a problem for me as a CMT kid. When I had my double foot surgery, Mom and Dad turned Dad's den into my temporary room - which was located downstairs, since I was in leg casts and in bed. That way Mom didn't have to run up and down stairs to attend me, and my friends could still come over and see me, and I was still very much a part of the " action " . (and yes, all my Barbies took up residence in Daddy's den too! LOL) In my teens, being SO fatigued at night, I had some evenings where I would actually fall UP the stairs to go to bed. My father often helped me up, I would hang on the bannister, and then have Dad's arm on the otherside. We managed. Odd now that in Aquatics, one of my exercises is to do step ups, and it is with such ease. Odd too that I have great legs...maybe from 'doing stairs' my whole life? Go figure. So sorry to hear about Gavin's stair issue. I hope you can resolve it very simply. ~ Gretchen
