Body fat factor in CMT

Body fat in CMT persons should be kept low. Greg , MD and CMT

expert explained that this is so we don't put added stress on

joints and that we stay as thin as possible.

I don't know if you are referring to " thinness " like that or in

relation to muscle atropy. Muscles in CMT are known to atropy, causing

a thin appearance, especially in the legs.

I live in a place where " the cult of thinness " is IN - I am certainly

NOT thin like a model, however, my body fat is relatively low. As for my

muscles, well, the muscle I have built up actually weighs more than fat.

Please don't stress over what others say about thinness, etc. Check with your

doc if you feel you are loosing weight or muscle too fast.
