Guest guest
Hello everyone! I am working on something for us and need your input please. I have a Dr who is interested in hosting an ETP, but I need more information to secure OR time, nurses, anesthesia, etc. For this, I need to know how many kiddos in TX we can serve. Please send me your names, short summary of your child's story, addys and numbers privately. Also, if there is any one from LA, OK, or NM who would be willing to travel to SW TX, let me know if you would be interested in participating. Really, anyone willing to travel here. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with other issues or complications involving casting. This will take place at a children's hospital which speciallizes in pediatric cardiology. {Our congenital heart program features a full range of cardiology services including: cardiac catheterization (interventional/ diagnostic), echocardiography (3-D echo, TEE and fetal), and adult congenital care. The doctors at (hospital name omitted) provide a full range of congenital cardiac surgical procedures: from minimally invasive septal defect repairs to complex single ventricle repairs (Norwood Procedure), and from neonatal surgeries to repair of adults with congenital heart defects. Other procedures include arrhythmia and heart failure care, mechanical support, and transplantation (for adults with congenital heart defects). In addition, the congenital team provides pediatric thoracic services to include: chest wall reconstruction, mediastinal operations, and broncho-pulmonary surgery.} They do offer other services also, it is a full service children's hospital. If you are interested in having your child casted, but haven't been able to in the past because of other health issues/complications, please contact me. I am working on getting OR time, nurses, cardiologists, anesthesiaologists, etc. to have their time/services donated; however, this is something that I can not guarnatee will happen. It is possible your private insurance may be needed. The travel expenses would be your own because this will take place at a private hospital. There isn't any Shriner involvement in this ETP. Also, if anyone knows anyone form Mexico with infantile scoli, this is a great opportunity for early treatment. I don't read or write spanish though, so please respond accordingly. I can't give you any more information at this time, but I do appreciate your participation in advance. Jen
