Guest guest
Being in New Orleans then Arizona followed by Texas I was able to adopt cowboy boots with RIDING HEELS as culturally accepted foot wear. They helped mask the an minimize my drop bilateral feet. I wore them in leiu of AFOs from about 1975 through 1990. The riding heel slopes forward under your heel shortening the lever arm at heel strike and lessening the audible foot slap. Plus everyone (non-boot wearing folk) seemed to accept that wearing boots made you walk a little different. First signs and symptoms appeared in the mid fifties as in 1950s the drop feet appeared in the mid to late 60s. Merrell
