EMG/NCV results - CMT diagnosis

In my experience, my most recent EMG/NCV showed all normal readings and

ranges. It also showed no atrophy in the hands or feet. But, even with

that, it did pick up on the reinnervation factor, which is indicative

of CMT Type 2. And I consider my CMT to be " mild " .

I think when CMT is mild or the patient is upset the EMG is not a good

diagnostic test. This is just a feeling I have from all the hassle I had from

the EMG as a kid.
