Guest guest
Hi , Oh this is interesting. Some of the other SSRIs after being taken for a long time have had some withdrawal effects. I didn't realize you stopped the Citalopram, and sometimes just stopping a medication like this once and for all is not good, simply because your brain chemicals have been used to getting it and having it work on Serotonin, so in stopping the medication, your brain chemistry isn't getting that action. I have no idea what strength of the medication you were taking or for how long, so this is just an educated guess on my part based on a teensy part of my own experience. Your doctor seems to be very thorough at ordering the blood tests and the ECG. The ECG is a non - invasive test (no needles, etc) you just lie there and they can get a reading of your heart activity. I maybe had my last one of these 15 years ago - lol - but at that time, they just put sticky stuff (like a cream) on my chest, and then put on some wires with sticky stuff. The machine just measures what's going on in your heart. As for the exercise - why not give yourself a break, and take this week off, get some fresh air each day, eat good food, read, get extra rest...lighten up, in other words. Anxiety and stress do wierd things to us, so take it easy. One week off exercise is not going to affect you adversely. You deserve a break! Remember that! ~ Gretchen
