Guest guest
Does anyone have insight/ideas into why we (some of us with CMT) get tremors? Is it a muscle thing a nerve thing, both, other? Anyone remember any past newsletter articles I could look up about this? Gretchen
Guest guest
That is extremely interesting. Most people have trouble getting enough fatty acids. I am definitely going to pass that along! Thank you and I am glad that worked for you. I can't imagine how fustrating that must be. I know it gets interesting when people assume things. I look much younger than my 31 years. When I tell people I have three children I am compelled to quickly follow that with I am older than I look. People look at me like I must have started having children in high school! Thanks again! <Rabbitbrain@...> wrote: I have had hand tremors too. I suspect it was triggered by being mercury toxic but might not have been the cause. I am not diabetic. I am a female too. I thought my problem was related to my hormones. But as a female most symptoms tie in with hormones anyway. Well, here goes. Evening of Primrose Oil or Borage oil taken with vitamin E. Summing it up, seemed like a fatty acid deficiency. I have since tried other fatty acids for other problems, like memory and has been very helpful. About my shaking, any small intricate movement made me feel frustrated because small tasks felt like major jobs. Even changing money at the cash register whey I paid for my item. I felt self conscious because I though other people thought I was an alcoholic or a drug addict. This shaking in my hands got so bad that I couldn't keep food on a fork also. I was at the mall eating dinner and couldn't manage. I noticed at the corner of my eye a girl tapping her friend on the shoulder and pointing toward me as I ate. It was that obvious. Some people asked me why my hands shaked, I didn't know. My stupid ass doctor didn't either! Liz D. Hope this is his answer, it was an easy fix for me. > [Original Message] > From: lvchefmel <lvchefmel@...> > Autism Mercury Group < > > Date: 8/9/2005 3:51:51 PM > Subject: [ ] tremor question > > Hi, I have a question about body tremors. My younger brother (age 22) who I feel is Hg poisoned has been having them for awhile now and they are now getting worse. Mostly his hands are affected, he sometimes has trouble keeping food on a fork. People are starting to ask questions and it is really bothering him. I just talked to him and told him my concerns. He was diagnosed diabetic following a viral infection at age 4 1/2. We have a long history of autoimmune issues including lupus, ADD and IBS. Asked him about the flu shot as my mother is religious about getting the stupid things. He has gotten many of them, not in the last 2 or 3 years but every year before that. I asked him about amalgams and he has a couple. > > Does anyone feel I may be onto something here? I told him I would send him some information and links. I would appreciate any help! I have a ton of information on mercury poisoning and chelation but I have only really read about the tremors in Andy's book. Most of my belief is based on family history. I am going to confirm he will do the hair test and then I will order it for him. > > Thanks!!! > =======================================================
Guest guest
Thanks Barb, that is interesting that your brother-in-law does the same thing. I would love to think this is all in my head but it just screams biomedical. Hopefully he will be game to try some things. I think he will, he has seen what all these supplements are doing for my son. Going to write all this down! Thanks so much, jromkema <jromkema@...> wrote: Yes, , I think you do. My son had mild tremoring when he was trying to carry out motor tasks, but the B12 shots seem to be helping with that some. My brother-in-law, who gets a flu shot every year, has tremoring that seems to be getting worse. (He also had a kidney transplant.) Guest guest
Hi , My son started hand tremors shortly after getting the flu vaccine, I ask the neuro about it, and after she checked him out she wrote in his medical chart that my son has hand tremors ever since he received the flu vaccine, and is allergic to mercury compounds. Shortly after this on one of my list, one of the mothers was talking about her son and how he has been getting worse every year and is now in full body tremors(They are not seizures) The poor child can not even hold his head up anylonger and is completely bed ridden. I ask the mom if her son ever had the flu vaccine, He has been getting for the past 15 years, since he was two years old. I told her about the mercury in the flu shots, She had no idea, and was not to happy to find out that her child has been getting injected with mercury year after year. Im not sure if her son has any metal fillings, My son does not have any fillings, and has never eaten fish in his whole life. I know you said your brother hasnt had the flu vaccine in the last couple of years, But has he had a Tetanus injection? This also contains Mercury. Has he been around any lamps that broke, that contained mercury? Does he eat a lot of fish? There is a lot of information on the web about diabetes and thimerosal. Good Luck!!!! Guest guest
Wow, sounds like there is something there. My brother hasn't gotten the shot in a couple years but he has still gotten plenty of them. I will ask about other possible exposures but if he is one that doesn't detox well it may be just sitting in his brain causing problems. I do think he has issues detoxing, says he only sweats at night. Odd since he works out all the time, is a body builder. That is so scary to think about it only getting worse. I am going to have to play the big sister trump card and convince him to at least do the hair test. That is easy and non-invasive. I sincerely thank you for your input. I am so happy to think I may be able to help him, he is my baby brother! Guest guest
This may be a little far-fetched, but my father had a bad tremor before he died. One neurologist thought it was Parkinson's but another said it wasn't--there was no definitive answer. He also had neurological problems that remind me of my Asperger son. He had a ton of amalgams and had been getting yearly flu shots plus who knows what else for quite some time. Ironically, he was a PhD researcher in plant genetics. He always felt that his physical and neurological problems were due to some type of poisoning. he thought it was a pesticide used on strawberries that had spilled in the building he worked in. > > Hi, I have a question about body tremors. The Dr. called them intention tremors, meaning they are there when he's using his hands but not there when his hands are at rest. I think its part of the mercury poisioning. Guest guest
That is how my hands bothered me too. No shaking when I am resting, only using them. Guest guest
Not far fetched at all. My father (bio polar), was also diagnosed with Parkinson's by two so-called professionals. He had bad tremors and shakes until he accidentally lowered his dose of lithium he was taken. All the tremors and shakes went way and along with the Parkinson's. Just few thoughts Is there any meds he is on, also look into investigation a possible trace mineral deficiency. Kenny V. > > > Hi, I have a question about body tremors. Guest guest
I will talk to him about all of this. He only lives about 2 hours from me so I am going to get him to come visit. I can do some muscle testing with him and boy do I have tons of supplements I can test him with. I don't think he takes any medication and he really has a good diet. He has been in excellent control of his diabetes for years now. He isn't infallable though. Like many college kids he drinks often. I would think that could lower vitamin/mineral levels in someone who was already predisposed to having issues. Much to think about! Thanks so much for responding. I very much appreciate it! kenny V <KEN@...> wrote: Not far fetched at all. My father (bio polar), was also diagnosed with Parkinson's by two so-called professionals.
