Guest guest
This is one of my favorite quotes . I will give you the brief history behind how I came across it. My niece lost her Kindergarten teacher last year. She was 24 years old and finally lost her battle with brain cancer. , the teacher was truly an inspiration to everyone she met...although she knew her life was going to be short in the last few years, she made the most of every minute of it. I was truly honored to have gotten to meet her a few times. The best time was when one of her own students was the center of Extreme Home Makeover ( the little twin girls from East Bernard who both have leukemia ) I got to meet her for the first time when I went to volunteer one afternoon helping with the house. The twins are older but had her when they were in K and they helped each other in their personal battles. Her children in the class loved her, everyone loved her. About 4 months ago, her mom finally set up a website in honor of her and a place for her close family, friends and anyone who knew her could come to to remember her. On the website was a page of 's favorite quotes and verses from the Bible. Her most favorite was this..... " Never put a question mark where God has placed a period " When I read this quote...I just got tingles and sat in silence for a few minutes. While the quote in itself is so easy to understand it spoke volumes to me. Being a Christian, I have always given everything up to God to handle. However, in the last few years struggling with Lexi ( all of you can relate to your own experiences ) I had my moments of doubt....doubt in God's ability to handle MY problems better than I could, doubt in my willingness to give up control to God ( although I always know He is in control ). I just know somehow I was supposed to see this quote and realize everything I already knew. This quote, although small and relatively simple made a huge impact on me. It reaffirmed my faith and helped me to realize that God will place a question mark when a question mark is needed. Other than that, we shouldn't question what we are given or what we are presented with, but rather to know that period is there for a reason and He is will take care of it. So, there is my favorite quote...hope it will help you. If not, hopefully it may reach someone else who can. Tracey Shellie needs quotes Hi there everyone!! I am working on a personal project and need some help. Can you guys send me short, inspirational quotes? I have been searching the net, but there are just too many authors, etc. It can be from a book, a song, poem, a family member, whatever. Be sure to include the source. Guest guest
Shellie I would love to share this one. I have no idea who the source is..........all I know is when I worked in corporate America(50 plus hrs sometimes) I remember this being in my lin Covey planner as a quote for the day. Here it goes...................... What you do every day should contribute to giving your life meaning. If it doesn't, why are you doing it? The day I saw this I remember thinking what on earth am I doing. I remember writing it down and hanging on to it. In hopes one day I would give my life meaning. Thank God at that time I didn't have and because the hours were brutal. Long story short............my boys are miracles that took us 5 years to create. And thank God we are blessed where I can stay home with them and truly say what I do everyday is giving my life meaning. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Here's a couple that I love, that I've seen on another site... " Sometimes Angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the flutter of their wings " " They say God does not give you more than you can handle....but sometimes I wish God did not trust me so much " ... (Mother ) Have a good weekend, Shellie. Jacki > > Hi there everyone!! > > I am working on a personal project and need some help. Can you guys send me short, inspirational quotes? Guest guest
I'm not sure were I saw it now, it has been so long ago. But I have taped to my computer at " Today is a gift, that is why it is called the present " . I think it was in a fortune cookie of all places. But when I'm feeling overwhelmed with things: work, home, doctors, therapists, etc...it truly helps to put things in prospective. > > Hi there everyone!! > > I am working on a personal project and need some help. Guest guest
Tracey, Amen. I have often felt the same way. Especially when Moriah was in her second halo. We just have to trust that God is God, and He can handle anything!!! Thanks for the great quote, and for being so honest. I know I don't always say exactly what I'm feeling or thinking.
