Guest guest
Kel's always hated Winnie the Pooh and friends, now I have some insight as to why . . . :-) *Anyone* could have nailed Eeyore's diagnosis! No offense , but this doesn't seem best use of Canadian research dollars. BTW, Kel and I diagnose the redheaded boy (Chuckie?) in Rugrats with OCD or GAD or some spectrum disorder. We recently watched an episode where this character is desperately trying to keep his little friends from messing up the arrangement of his toys and explaining patiently where each one has to go. I just got off the phone with another therapist. This one I got from the ADAA's site, where she states she uses CBT for OCD, and sees kids in her practice. One catch, the youngest she'll consider this therapy is 10. (This is an improvement over age 16, which is what Kel's psych says.) Kel will be seven in a few weeks. This therapist says she's had very good results using more traditional approaches to OCD in young kids, however, should I wish to consider other modalities . . . Onward and upward :-) Kathy R in Indiana [OCDandParenting] Winnie the Pooh > I'm crushed! I just read this in my local newspaper today, and all I can say, > is " Say it Ain't So!
