Guest guest
Jan I mailed some products from florida to texas and recieved no complaints. Unless they just didnt want to let me know. I dont know how to combat this problem, but perhaps you could ask the post office? Perhaps they have some ideas
Guest guest
You could try small amounts of dry ice. I can see how it could melt in transit in the heat. Alternasense Skin Design Products edandevMil@... mailing lotion bars Happy holidays everyone! I have a question. How do you wonderful people ship your lotion bars? I live in South Texas and yes, it's pretty darn hot and humid. So, how do you ship your lotion bars and keep them from separating and getting mushy in the mail? I have tried to ship to Waco, and the girl that's getting my product says it's coming off in the lid and is just a mess! I have no trouble locally, but I really don't know what to do. I'm also trying to ship sugar scrubs and the same thing is happening. Oil is seeping out and making a mess. I have changed my recipe and lessened the amount of oil in my scrubs and it's still a mess. Any advice or suggestions would be welcome! A couple of shops in town carry Burt's Bees and he has a lotion or salve in a round 4oz. tin. How in the heck does he do it! Guest guest
, How did you package your items? Bubble wrap, those peanut things? I know it can be done, I'm just not doing it right! Thanks for your input. Jan

It was in a large box in a basket, the basket was covered with plastic wrap and wrapping, and there were other items in the box. So maybe that has something to do with it also - extra insulation. I hope you find something that works - I like the previous email's idea about the dry ice
Guest guest
or use fish bags...the cooling bags meant to ship bettas through the mail with...try www.aquabid.com to find some suppliers and/or auctions, or I can find some if you want..LOL ;-) There are the 24-48 up to 60 hour cooling packs that can run about a buck a piece... They work wonderfully...pack in styrofoam (or similar biodigradable) peanuts and toss that in there too. The styrofoam makes it last longer as well...The heat pads work too if you need something to stay room temp and not freeze up on you..LOL Just pack them together (heat or cooling) in a ziplock, and viola! I used to breed bettas. ;-) Crysti mailing lotion bars Happy holidays everyone! I have a question. How do you wonderful people ship your lotion bars? Guest guest
, The reason I mentioned the dry ice is that I order a lot of perishable foods from (QVC). They have absolutely wonderful Cheesecake and Chocolates and steaks and Vadalia Onion Burgers and Crab and Lobster cakes. Sorry, I digress. I think it was the work Chocolate that did it *gg* Anyway, Their products are always shipped with a ziplock bag of dry ice in it. Everything comes out looking and tasting great. So why wouldn't it work for butters in lotion bars that would either melt or soften in hot summer weather. It's worth a try. Ingredients are expensive to have them ruined buy mother nature. She's a tricky little devil sometimes. Alternasense Skin Design Products edandevMil@... Guest guest
You know I've pondered this very same question. I haven't shipped any lotion bars yet, but my solution that I came up with...for now is to use the ice packs that my vet supply company sends me with my orders. I figured that would work until I run out...lol Our Texas heat will reak havic on anything that's meltable. Next time I'm at Mail Boxes Etc, I'll ask them what they suggest. There has to be something simple that can be done...I would think. ~^~^~Dawn~^~^~ The Liberty Hill Soap Haus _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM: Try the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
