Maybe you need to cut back to working out every other day. That way you won't get burnt out or most importantly, over worked. You might also be coming down with something. Don't push yourself because you will only make whatever you might be getting to come full force.

Oh no, Sorry to hear you feel run down Kerry. Could

you be doing too much too soon with this RIPPED

rotation? Those are tough workouts. Take it easy on

yourself for a bit and see how you feel.

I've been thinking I need to cut back, I want to enjoy working out, I don't want to dread it, or get burnt out. I feel fine now after a few days rest, I did go for a brisk walk with my DD last night.

Thanks,

Kerry

Hi Donna,

I think I'm trying to up my weights too soon and do the whole workout.

I've found out I need to pace myself.

These are tough workouts, I do love them though.

Thanks,

Kerry

Hi Kerry, I haven't read all of the emails yet but I hope that you are feeling better. Try drinking more water and fruit juices such as orange juice and get more sleep! hi kerry! hey, i hope that you are OK! i just wanted to say that a

popular way to rotate is to do 2 days 'on' and 1 day 'off'. so maybe

adopt that mindset instead of feeling badly about working out for a few

days and then needing a rest. it is a perfectly good way of avoiding

over-training. S & L and RTTC are tough advanced workouts !! nothing

wrong with needing a rest after doing one of those! anyway, i hope

that you were able to rest and are feeling better today (sunday).

Thank you for the suggestions Jen, I need the reminder to drink more water, I tend to drink hot tea when I don't feel well. A throw back from when I was young, Mom would always make a cup of sweetened tea if anything happened, a sore finger, or upset tummy. It's amazing because it usually works, I don't sweeten it anymore though, but like I said I do need to up my water intake, thanks again for that reminder.

I hope you feel better soon. Sinus infections can be a real bummer. Make sure you get plenty of rest.

Take care of yourself,

Kerry

Hi Carolyn,

I'm feeling much better today (Sunday). I was feeling pretty good

yesterday as well, was going to exercise, but figured maybe I

shouldn't push it. I planned on doing Tough Tape today for the start

of the Firm 90 day rotation then realized I'd be out of sync with the

rest of you, I might do a pilates or yoga workout instead. Yes S & L

and RTTC are tough workouts indeed! I may have to do 2 on and 1 off

like you suggested.

Thanks,

Kerry

thats good kerry ! be careful with this... over-training is a lousy

way to go. we dont want you to get too tired or fall ill (you get too

tired, your immunity will lower) because of your workouts. yes, we

want you to have FUN! please think about a lighter schedule... like

every other day, as michelle suggested, or 2 days on/1 day off. or

choose other workouts that are not as strenuous. as you build up

endurance and strength, then tackle those tougher workouts down the

road. take care!! oh! and work on getting in those healthy foods too

;)

Hi Kerry, I know I need to drink more water and more hot tea with this sinus infection to help to thin the gunck in my head...it's hard because now I can't really taste or smell very much so that takes care of my appetitie or desire to drink water/hot tea. What really makes me mad is that I've lost about 5 lbs since I posted my weigh-in here on Tuesday. That is just messed up! I try to lose weight and I can't, I get sick, don't try and lose 5 lbs! I know that when I feel better it will come back on.... I wish I could avoid that happening! Anyway, do you think you just over-trained or do you think you were coming down with a cold or the flu? How do you feel today? Take care, JenKerry Kramer <kerrykramer@...> wrote: Thank you for the suggestions Jen, I need the reminder to drink more water, I tend to drink hot tea when I don't feel well. hi jen,

that is because you have lost water weight. it will come back on

when you feel better and start drinking liquids and doing some

exercise. that is normal. now, if you were to keep up your water

intake each day, then this wouldnt happen. right?

I will be careful, I certainly don't want to be overtraining I want to

be exercising for a long time. I will be doing the Firm rotation, and

know that some of those are tough. I'll have to modify some of them

I'm sure.

I'll get the healthy foods in too. I did make some cookies today,

they are healthier than regular cookies they are made with whole wheat

flour, wheat germ, bran, oatmeal, raisins. They are good considering

they have all that healthy stuff in them! I will be limiting myself,

I just bought a bunch of fruit so I'll make sure I have some fruit as

well.

I'll be trying the different schedules suggested.

Thanks,

Kerry

Hi Jen,

It's hard to keep up the appetite when you have a sinus infection and lose your sense of smell and taste. Make sure you eat something to keep your energy up and be sure to drink lots so you don't get dehydrated. It's maddening to work so hard and not lose weight, I guess you could be building muscle and that's great!

I do think I was fighting a cold for a while, but I think it was mostly overtraining because I felt better after a day or two of rest. I feel much better thanks,

Kerry

I make my tea quite weak, so it probably is more like water than tea!

I wonder if they are the same, these have sunflower seeds in them as

well. Do the Mennonite cookies have raisins and chocolate chips in

them as well?
