I’ve been so tired lately, I’ve been just

getting through my weight training and going to bed after that. I’m

trying taking some vitamins but I think it is the rain – it has been

raining non-stop for about a month (well we’ve had 3 days of sun) I did

preview and try Turbo Jam Learn and Burn and 20 minute workout. Also I played

coach for my bf correcting his form and demonstrating different (ie easier) ways

to do some of the exercises (in P90). I need to really think of better ways for

him to stretch. He can’t grab his foot for a hamstring stretch or do any

of the stretches as demonstrated in P90 phase 1/2. He was sweating so bad,

basically I had to press pause after each exercise. I know he’ll get stronger

and it will get easier, but right now it is so sad to see. He did use 9 pounds

through the whole thing and says he didn’t really feel it for the bicep

work. I also think it is a bit strange that the first thing (in P90) is

stretch. I think a good 10 minute walk would be perfect before the sculpt

circuit. I know I can’t stretch without warming up first. Today will be

his first try with the Cardio part and I am a bit concerned. It is easier to

take down the intensity with cardio work, but the stretching part and power yoga

part is something he will have difficulty with. I don’t want him to give

up because it is so hard or to get hurt but I do want him working out. It

seemed to help him (right now at least) that I was right there pausing when

necessary and in general encouraging. And the countdown timer helped him too. It

is only 4 more minutes. He probably would have given up last night if there

wasn’t that countdown. Being a coach is helping me too though. It

reminds me that correct form is more important than the weight. And that even

if it is hard I should push straight through because I can do it. And he

really did have so much trouble with it, I might have stopped and tried another

day. I’m so very proud of him. We also did measurements, but no pictures.

I did my measurements too and was surprised that the only inches I’ve

lost are in the waist and hips (nothing in the chest). I guess I knew

that but the numbers prove it. I’m hoping that after 90 days

we will both be feeling and looking better. He wants to measure every week so

we are going to do that. I told him I’d measure him whenever he wanted me

to. I think he really is going to stick with this and make a commitment

to health. He did say he was sore this morning J He always

tells me sore is good so I told him the same.
