Guest guest
reading this below, all i was thinking is about the thread over at VF about her radio show. she suppoesdley worked almost 2 hours a day and ate under 1000 calories to look as cut as she did for the The Biggest Loser show. THEN on top of that, she pushed these poorly out of shape ppl to eat only 1200=1500 calories a day while working out intensly for nearly 3-4 hours a day. its just another case of "which is it ms. trainer slow and steady or push em 'till they puked". its why i really no longer watch the show IMO thats just scary. kassia Slow and SteadyRemember the fable about the tortoise and the hare? The hare got off to a zippy start and seemed sure to win the race. But he didn't, did he? The tortoise, while naturally much slower than the hare, kept moving steadily towards the finish line and was able to cross first. What's the take-home message of this fable? Slow and steady wins the race. To reach your weight-loss goals, you need to switch from the hare's to the tortoise's mindset. In other words, you must break the "all or nothing" mentality. Do you start diets with superhuman resolve — determined to eat right and work out seven days a week without fail — only to fall off the wagon and give up hope? This kind of approach to anything — especially to your health — can be very tempting, and may even feel motivational. But I'm telling you right now that it's a dangerous approach that will only set you up for failure. Human beings are imperfect. It's inevitable that you will eventually skip a workout or give in to temptation, and you'll feel like a failure and want to give up entirely — i.e., trade the all for the nothing. So, start thinking like a tortoise. Pace yourself. Allow yourself to have a slice of pizza or take a day off now and then; just don't stray too far from the path that will lead you to your goals. Guest guest
I've never watched this show - do people actually barf? That really can't be good! If anything, I think that would be a big turn off to anyone thinking about starting a fitness program. I've been exercising forever and I still dread those hard workouts - although I have never pushed myself to the barfing point. Guest guest
yep i caught the last half of the premiere this season and they were vomiting and then had to jump back on the elliptical. and these are severly overweight ppl that many might have some health issues b/c of the weight. jillian is not on this season but if you see in our files i have jillian.pdf and bob.pdf and you will see they work them for almost 4 hours!!!!! kassiaDonna M-P <donna112520@...> wrote: I've never watched this show - do people actuallybarf? Guest guest
that is what is killing me is that this show should be about giving ppl inspiration while doing some FRIENDLY competition. the first show of the season i can't believe how much of a knock out drag out it was. i agree kim doesn't seem much better, in fact i think she is trying to portray a tough trainer like jillian. and to bob, laugh at me when i puke and you might be in for a few rounds toe-to-toe. don't be surprise when you see that 20lb weight flying at you(i fight dirty LOL) kassiaFestival City Concrete <pvisser@...> wrote: anyway, this snippet from jillian's newsletter is just hilarious! as you pointed out, it is completely opposite to what the trainers do on TBL and these discrepancies are hurting the credibility of the trainers, in my eyes. personally i would stay far far away from bob, jillian and kim !:*carolyn. When I first started I got so sick to my stomach, it was horrible. It took about 2 weeks to get over that.

Guest guest
I NEVER liked Jillian, she just seemed too much in your face "bad a$$" person to me. They have a new trainer on the show, hopefully she will be better. She had an attitude like she thought she was tough. So far, I like the new trainer. She seems really fit, but doesn't act like she wants to show her body off like Jillian did, she's really pretty too. To me, the only thing pretty about Jillian was her name. JMO of course. ~~
Guest guest
well i only watched the one shw with the new trainer and it seems like they are taking this angel looking young lady and trying to give her the attitude of jillian. but i don't agree with any trainer that will let their clients get sick like that and expect them to get back on the treadmill. i don't care how much money they were paying me, it wouldn't be worth all the money in the world. kassia from Michigan <volleyjen0416@...> wrote: I NEVER liked Jillian, she just seemed too much in your face "bad a$$" person to me.
