Guest guest Posted September 19, 2006 Report Share Posted September 19, 2006 I went for a walk this morning and did the Kest Power Yoga Energize this afternoon. This was a challenging workout I sure got warm with it and couldn't hold some of the postures as long as they could, Downward facing Dog for instance, I had to come out of it and do child's pose for a while. Some of the poses were modified using blocks and a yoga strap. There's one move where you are in a lunge with your right arm on your right (bent) knee then you take that arm and put it under the leg and reach behind you with the left arm and grab it with the right. Yikes! I felt like a pretzel, this was the one where I used the strap. I could do the twisted prayer position, although I was a little shaky. The chest openers were tough for me, but I could do the pigeon with no problem. I can see where you'd get more flexible using this workout; I notice that my quads and shoulders ache a little tonight. I like how he stresses not to push it to be where you are right now and breathe. All in all a good workout, you feel warm and relaxed when you're finished.
