Guest guest
Hi Donna, I exercise from my home you can look into getting some workout equipment but try a physical therapist as Gretchen suggested. I use the Total gym and it works great they give you a workout routine from a starter program to a beginner program and an advanced program. Tt's helped me out alot and I have a stationary bike to. It's alot cheaper than the gym and you can do it when ever you feel like and don't have to worry about a crowded gym. Tommy

Guest guest
Tommy, Thanks for the advice. I see my neurologist soon. I'm going to talk to him about starting some physical therapy and then talk to the PT and see what's the best workout for me. Maybe it's one I can stay home for. I don't like being around alot of people as they stare at me sometimes but I would like to do a water workout too. I love the water. Maybe they have a pool at the hospital, I'm not sure. I've never been through the whole hospital but I think I've heard people say they have a pool for people who need to workout to use. I'm gonna check into it. Thanks again for the advice. Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, It's Elaine, I haven't written in awhile but sure do like reading all the interesting stuff from others. My question to you is, do you work full time? Where do you find the time to do all this working out? I try to go out and ride my bike in the neighborhood or walk 3-4 times a week in the eve. I am an 8-5 person and weekends off. I don't have a neurologist, have never been to one but sure do think it would be helpful because of evreything I read from you and others. I have fallen so much on my knees, especially the right one, that I think it has a lot of soft tissue damage, and probably arthritis too... Sometimes just straightening the leg out when I am laying hurts right in the joint itself... Bikeriding does make it feel better. The health educators that I work with have numerous arthritis programs and their motto is if you rest you rust and whewwwwwwww that is so true... Have a good week... and thanks..
