Yes, those " statin " medications can cause muscle weakness in persons with already weak muscles to start out with. There's some info on that in our Files. Just look under " Medication Alerts " then click on that folder to open/ Just wondering if you have tried changes in diet for the cholesterol, and also the swimming you do is great. I myself do a regular aquatic circuit program, which includes an array on exercises in the pool, including just walking (chest high water) with a current for resistance and strengthening.
