Guest guest
Good morning , I guess from having a CMT diagnosis since childhood, and living this far with it, I don't let CMT control my life. I have always been a pretty optimistic person, though, early on, my father and grandfather were into " positive thinking " lol - either they taught me, or I picked up on it by osmosis. Rest assurred, I have had some major CMT struggles, as well as the back problems I mentioned and also had Rheumatic Fever later in life. I discovered it is a healthier way of living, and less stressful - to be optimistic. In addition, my years in a 12 step program have given me incredible hope, and from there I learned to meditate which also helps me focus on the positive and optimistic side of life. Then there is my spiritual life/faith, which I won't go into much here, but if you want to email me privately, I'll share. LOL, but here once referred to me as " Pollyanna " - I have to admit that is one heck of a positive kid's movie I saw early on. Well, so be it, guess I am a Pollyanna. But you know, I have learned through my own life's experience that there is ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel - even if I can't see it at the time. All of that, and enough sleep (!) keep me positive and optimistic. Plus, watching all the CMT research come out, especially within the last 5 years, has really boosted my spirits. ~ Gretchen
