Guest guest
Well Done Gretchen. This is a great email...Yes you are perseverant and optimist. I think it was really wonderful the fact that you did find out at so early stage. My mum did not know that she had it...and as you can imagine she used to complain about her weak legs, so many times been on her feet for hours ironing, doing everything around the house, feeling exhausted etc ...so sad really. Poor mum never understood what was wrong with her. She used to say that it was a kind of polineuropathy ...the doctor did not have the name of the syndrome at that time in Brazil... Yes, I used to hear her complaining and never though I was just like her either...and the same for my 2 brothers and now my niece also! Late in life it was when I found out about the syndrome etc...even then...never worry too much because I could do so much like dancing, playing etc... It was around my early 40's that I started to feel really weak somehow...and yet never done much exercises. I have been so stupid...If I only knew, I would exercise since that time I bet. The thing is I forgot about the word PROGRESSIVE!!!!!!! THAT WAS MY BIG MISTAKE! Things that we taked for granted ...thinking it always be there... I also remember that my mum doctor used to say that he would like to send her test results to USA , but this actually never happen unfortunately. Thanks again.
