I know.. I feel the same EXACT way. It doesn't matter what rotation I do, what foods I eat, how much cardio I do, I'm still the same. It gets really old and depressing is a great word for how it all makes me feel.

It doesn't really matter how much fat or calories are in the Cappuccino's my DD brings me, I know I still don't need them, especially at night. I will give myself one a week like I do a lot of other things... heck, maybe it will make a difference.... it's something I haven't tried yet. I do believe everything is ok in moderation. Don't tell anyone but I have 2 pop tarts every Sunday morning for my breakfast... lol ok, maybe if I ate like a bird or something I would get somewhere, but that would suck and then the depression would REALLY set in.

Hi,

This morning I did Get Ripped. This workout is fun, but so much easier then the other two. I have to admit, I'll be glad when I can get back to the one body part a day rotation. I'm really missing that soreness.

I done my measurements this morning and weighed myself and I'm just not happy at all. I gained another 1/2 lb. Each week I just keep adding a 1/2 lb and it's really making me sick.

I hadn't measured myself since the beginning of year and for the most part, they were all the same except for a couple.

I have been eating well, but I still question those Cappuccino's my DD brings me every night. I KNOW they have to be fattening, they are too good to not be. She brings me the smallest size and she says it's made up of powder and water and she adds some vanilla flavoring to it and that's it. I can't find anywhere where it tells the calories for those things, but I just know having those every evening is not good for my body or my waist line.

Plus, I watched Oprah on Friday and she had that doctor on there again talking about the good and bad foods and wow what an eye opener.

Anyway, I need to really start focusing more on the labels (as if I wasn't already) But then I think to myself, if I'm going to eat well and then my family doesn't... they all die and I'm left here without them, what is my life without them? I know that is really silly, but it crossed my mind.

Ok, enough rambling.

I hope you all have good days today

the same thing is happening to me. i workout more, i get bigger.

i workout less, i get bigger.

i tried eating less and eating much more healthy food, but i still

got bigger!

i can only attribute it to hormones or something that is not under my

control.

i just dont know what to do anymore except for continuing to try.

but i agree that it is getting to be depressing :/

for the past few days, ive kind of given up. have been extremely

occupied with other things (both mentally and physically) and havent

been working out or eating properly. at first i felt guilty but then

got the 'why bother?' attitude. nothing seems to make a difference.

::sigh:: but have decided that tomorrow (tuesday) i will suck it

up and get back on program again. what other choice do i have??

i have also briefly considered going on WW again since i MUST be

eating too much even though ive been careful... but i am dreading

the weighing/measuring/counting.... i expect that it will drive me

even more bonkers than being fat!

we have a popular chain of coffee shops here called 'tim hortons'...

they have the most marvelous cappuccinos there which sounds similar

to what you are having. there, a 10 oz capp with french vanilla

flavouring is 250 calories with 8 grams of fat.

i let myself have one on treat day (usually mondays which is normally

the only day im in town and near a timmie's).

Carolyn,

WW has changed since you were last there it sounds like. They have the flex plan where you do have to know the portion sizes (and they're assigned points and you get so many points per day and week) but they also have the core plan that gives you a large food list (natural, unprocessed foods) and you can eat as much as you want of those until you're satisfied without weighing, measuring or counting anything unless you eat foods not on that list (then you count points for them and you get a lot of points per week to play with). You might want to look into it?

(who loves WW and is considering becoming a WW leader after she gets more into the routine of having both her kids at school at least part of the day and figures out her school volunteer schedule too)

Hi ,

Glad you had a great workout. My triceps were trembling while doing the skull crushers and the triceps press, even though I get shaky I'm not overly sore the next day.

Sorry to hear about the added 1/2 lb. I know that you really have to watch what you eat if you want to lose. Those cappuccino's are good, maybe try a week or two without them and see what happens. Where are the cappuccinos from, if they are from a major store you could look it up online. You and your DD could have caffeine free tea, I know not as good, but maybe better for the waistline.

You have a good point about everyone eating healthy. It's tough but I'm sure your family could adjust to a few healthier changes they won't even notice such as whole wheat pasta.

Ramble away, I don't mind reading other people's ramblings....LOL!

Good luck,

Kerry

Hi Jill,

Give it time, it took years for your body to get like it is, it will take time for it to change. You are making changes from the inside out, so remember you are doing great! Think of how much better you feel since exercising, more energy etc. The eating thing is a big thing too, I find if I eat as many natural foods as I can; no processed foods mostly grains and veggies I do pretty good. I got away from that now am trying to get back at it.

Take care, and don't be too hard on yourself.

I get this every once in a while, I'm not sure if it had anything to do with exercising or not, it seems to go away on it's own.

Hope you feel better soon.

she gets them from a Rickers gas station. They come out of a vending machine. She brought me one last night and I only drank 1/2 of it (though I wanted all of it) I am going to try really hard to tell her not to bring me one tonight. When she doesn't come out I don't get one and it doesn't bother me. I guess it's something about when she comes out and we watch our shows together it just is so good to sit there and have that hot sweet treat. lol

I'm not sure about cappuccinos, but in my opinion it could have a

similar effect as regular soda. According to an article in the

newspaper <inq7.net> that I read a couple or so months ago, a person

who drinks 2 cans of soda x 7 days = consumes 500 grams of table

sugar. That could really throw off a healthful eating plan.

Oh that doesn't sound good at all.
