Hi guys!

I just bought some ground pumice stone... and would like to know if anyone

can give me any suggestions on a good recipe for ground pumice stone in M & P

bars. I was thinking of an exfoliating bar, perhaps for exfoliating your

feet and adding peppermint oil to it. I'm just not too sure on how much of

the pumice to add I guess.

Thanks! Have a wonderful day!

How much pumice do you put, and what fragrances do you use?

Hi Carol...

And how much of the ground pumice stone should I add per bar of soap?

, about 2 tablespoons of pumice to a lb. of soap. I never make less

than a pound of soap at a time. I use scents like Northwoods or Breeze

since I make these for men. My son loves the pumice soap, he does a lot of

gardening and is always tinkering with something in the garage. You should

only use the pumice soap on hands or heels of the feet as it is quite

abrasive.

You could scent it peppermint if making it for a woman. Pumice soap is

what I call a " work " soap so I don't use frilly scents but there is no

reason why you couldn't. A citrus scent would be nice too. Just go easy

on the abrasive, I once made a cornmeal bar that would take the hide off an

elephant. They looked great and smelled of raspberry but they were like

using sandpaper chunks. Have fun. Carol A2

Hi Carol A2 :)

Thanks for your info. Ok, I gave the recipe a shot... but all the pumice

stone ended up suspended at the bottom when the soap was done. Is there

something in particular I need to do to make the pumice stone disperse

throughout the soap without suspending to the bottom?

ThankS! =o)
