Guest guest
Good Morning! I spoke to yesterday, and she asked that I post that Kylie is doing well. The procedure took about 2 hrs, and everything went smoothly. said the x-rays look fabulous, and so does Kylie's kyphosis. She said that Kylie has already gotten up to use the bedside camode (yesterday, her 1st day out of surgery)!! This child is amazing!!! Kylie has no room for pain in her life. She has got to be one of the strongest, most determined young ladies, I have ever met. Go Kylie! We are all so proud of you!! Hang in there . You guys should be back home to the Shriners by Friday (sooner, knowing Kylie...). I'll cross my fingers. Yesterday was a great day. HRH Re: Kylie update Carmell - Thanks for the update. I had tears in my eyes as I read that - It is just fantastic!!!!Thanks for taking the time to send us all an update! - I am overcome, I'm just so happy for you guys! I will call again soon. Please send lots of gentle hugs to that brave little girl of yours!! We will look forward to seeing you both in May....Love Jacki xxx>> Hi all,> > was going to post, but since she didn't yet, I> thought I'd send a quick note. Guest guest
That is so great to hear that everything went well with the surgery! Kylie sounds like quite the amazing little girl! And it's good to hear from you too . I've been curious to hear how Olivia has been healing. Maybe I missed a post? If not, I'm sure we would all love to hear about what she is up to! Guest guest
Great news . As always Kylie amazes us with her courage. What new tricks can she do with this halo. Say hi from Bridget who will be looking forward to seeing Kylie in April. I can't wait to see the new brace... Love Bert and Bridget heather hyatt <heather@...> wrote: , So glad you can see improvement. If you can see it, that means its doing what its supposed to. I am still really impressed with this brace that they are going to come up with for Kylie. We should put a photo of it in our new, upcoming brace section, and title it the " Kylie " contraption, or something to that effect. It will be worthwhile for other parents/docs/orthotists to see this very specialized/ one-of-a-kind piece...... Hope this weekend isnt boring you to death! I'll give you a ring today, for sure. Did you get that VEPTR piece, yet? Is it snowing out there? We are really getting dumped on, this a.m. Its probably coming straight from Utah. HRH RE: Kylie update Kylie has been in her Halo traction now for 2 weeks. She is doing great! We already see a great amount of improvement. She will have her Halo taken off on Feb. 8th, and will also have her VEPTR expansion the same day. We should be going home the next day! I will let you all know how things go. __________________________________________________________ Never Miss an Email Stay connected with on your mobile.
