Guest guest
Some issues back someone asked about where to purchase kettlebells. I was looking over a site that a reader sent in to the Testosterone site about where to purchase a trap bar. The folks at Fractional Plates have all sorts of interesting equipment, one of which are kettlebells. These do not resemble the old style affairs that look like a cannon ball, but more like what Mel described, i.e. a handle that went on a dumbbell. These are constructed so that you can purchase the kettlebell handle and change the weight by adding plates. Anyone who is interested can visit http://www.fractionalplates.com/equipment/equipment20.html Rosemary Wedderburn-Vernon Venice,CA

Guest guest
Just curious. I have never had the opportunity to use kettlebells and was wondering what advantage they might have over traditional dumbbells. Guest guest
Somebody asked about the benefits of Kettlebells vs. Dumbells. I was wondering if there was an answer for that? -Jon Kleineman NY/NJ Area
Guest guest
judy if you want affordable go with iron core vol 1--3. they use to sell them at target but you can probably get them cheap on amazon too. also lisa shaffer's book(i can't recall name right now) is excellent stuff. a little pricey but worth it! she also has some dvds of her seminars going over kettlebell form. i don't have anything against kettlenetics b/c i understand its more like light weight training i just hate these workouts making mainstream b/c their form is off and some ppl start here to get a feel for kettlebells and its not real kettlebells. i had a dvd once through a trade and even if i had a lighter bell( i couldn't do it with my lightest 15) i still wouldn't have enjoyed the workout at all. it just didn't seem to fit with weights and dancing like that. but do try to get a few sessions in with a trainer. it would be soo helpful!LDY_SOLANA'S fITNESS BLOGLDY_SOLANA'S WEBPAGEFrom: Judy S <k9sports4gsps@...>Subject: kettlebells Date: Friday, February 26, 2010, 2:28 PM SO .
