Guest guest
It has been a while since I have been on and I've just read the many posts I have missed. What wonderful discussions and what insights from those discussions. I am most fortunate to have a wonderful wife who may not understand everything I go through, but supports me in what I need to do to take care of myself. We don't always agree, but we work it out and find solutions we can both live with. She has had to remind me many times she did not marry me for my physical abilities and that she knows I cannot do everything she would like me to do. But I would say that, yes, CMT has affected our marriage, sometimes positively and sometimes negatively. Now, to get to the title topic of this post. I have, as I have deteriorated over the last several years, had increasing bladder control problems. Taking Ditropan XL, 20 mgs., has kept the problem under control. Now, I am having problems with urinating and then within minutes of finishing, often with no physical sensation to warn me, I start to urinate again. Have any of you had urinary problems at all? Have any of you had this particular problem? I know I will need to see my urologist and maybe neurologist, but it took a few years to convince them both that bladder control problems can, indeed, be related to CMT. Knowing others experience this and maybe having some research to back it up might reduce their resistance to connecting it to CMT or I know not to look at this being related to CMT. Thanks for all your input on this and so many other topics. Jim
