Guest guest
I went to my pediatrician and had them check Ian when I was in doubt. They can listen with the stethoscope and tell if it is in the lungs. I hope he stays clear for you. Noelle (12-2-01)Ian (8-15-04) Cough and cast question I know that this has been asked before but I was just wondering your experience with prior to casting if your child had any upper respiratory infection, I know that they won't cast. Evan has a cough a few times a day and that is it, I would assume that he's ok, I'm supposed to call on Monday if he's running a temp or sick by then to re-schedule. I'm just praying he stays well until we get him casted and then can avoid getting sick again all togther. I was just wanting your thoughts and experiences with any coughs or slight congestion and casting. Thanks you all. Evan 8/7/
Guest guest
, h's doc gave her this medicine that cleared her up in like 2 days - I have never seen medicine work that quickly! Maybe you get him on that today and he would be okay by Monday. I can't wait for you and Evan. I'm just counting down the days for the MRI - thursday in Pittsburgh - she's healthy now but with this wacky weather that could change quick! Oh- yeh guess who's pregnant? Just upped my stress level by 20X! These stupid kids now a days can't take care of the one they got so why not have more? Hey - I guess the government will be supporting both babies. Gross! Guest guest
I know I need to do that, but there are so many positive cases of the Flu at the peds office and Roto virus and RSV-but you're right. Thanks. Claflin <noellesmommy@...> wrote: I went to my pediatrician and had them check Ian when I was in doubt. They can listen with the stethoscope and tell if it is in the lungs. Guest guest
, It was a cough liquid - that name looks familiar though. Yes - I still have h - has no place to take her she is so far from having her act together. EEERRRR! I told her she could stay @ my house on the weekends to restablish a relationship w/ her daughter. I believe the only reason she is remotely happy is because this seals the deal w/ the druggy looser father. You are always in my prayers! All these wonderfull special babies on this site - I pray for all of you! Thank you, & h <basketsnboyds@...> wrote: Was the med a shot (Rocephin-sp?)- I'm doing breathing treatments and that usually clears him up fast- Just keep us in your prayers. Guest guest
, I hope you get this before you leave for Erie. FYI - the anesthesiologist in Erie told us that most kids in New England have a runny nose and cough from Nov - March. Usually only if they are very phlegmy and/or have a temp will they postpone the procedure. A regular run-of-the-mill cold does not usually delay casting. Of course, I am no doc, but this was our experience in January. Good luck! Thinking of you, mom to and Jake <basketsnboyds@...> wrote: Was the med a shot (Rocephin-sp?)- I'm doing breathing treatments and that usually clears him up fast- Just keep us in your prayers. Guest guest
Thanks-that is exactly what I needed to know- We'd been worrying and wondering if they'd even do it. We went to the doc this AM and she said it wasn't in his chest and it sounded like it was just in his head and it was prob just a cold or allergies, she did give us Amox. incase he developed a fever. I pray that they'll go ahead and do it. I worry how much he'll progress if they wait. Did your son have a runny nose in Jan for his cast? How is he doing now? Thanks again, this email is exactly what I needed to read tonight and Evan Viveiros <jviv314@...> wrote: , I hope you get this before you leave for Erie. Guest guest
Yes, he did have a runny nose for his second cast. He got over it quickly. We were very worried about the cold/cough/runny nose and whether or not they would cast as we drove the 10 hours to get there and were afraid they would send us home. But everything worked out for the best. Thinking of you and your family as you prepare for Evan's 1st cast! Good luck, mom to and Jake <basketsnboyds@...> wrote: Thanks-that is exactly what I needed to know- We'd been worrying and wondering if they'd even do it.
